friday marked the end of the Day Care chapter in my life. i've been at that job for 3 and a half years. these years basically flew by. to me that's a sign that it was never long and boring. i've had such a great time working there. i had the best co-workers and bosses. on top of that i got to spend time with the most interesting group of about 50 kids every weekday.

this is the very first picture i took. this girl had such personality. she was one of my favorite kids. she's one of those kids that talks like an adult. when i first started working there she was only in 1st grade but i could totally hold a decent conversation with her. i'm sure she'll grow up to be an awesome lady.

these kids love to get their attention. they're fun though.

this is the craziest kinder-kid, Leo. he's another favorite. he had no shame in whatever he did and did whatever he wanted. that's his smile. serious. and that's me imitating his expression. he's such a little man. a little interesting man. those ADD kids are always a job to handle but they give you so many stories to share.

this a first grader, Spencer, and his mom, Amy. Amy used to work with us and she was such a character. we made each other laugh so much. i loved working with her. it was always nice to see her with her kids because you could see and feel the love she had for them. her kids are great too. one day Spencer goes up to me tell on another kid saying, "Excuse, Mr.Papa? Max threw the ball at my abdominal" HAHA! that was the best.

look at her mouth! isn't that kind of mutated looking?! like my face. anyway, she's Hailey. Hailey was a very difficult girl to watch. one of the biggest brats i've seen. but i guess she has her reasons. the girl on the top left is Kimberly. she had such a kind heart. and then that black girl is Precious. mm hmm "Precious." Precious was a spunky kid. she has a strong personality. Precious, Kimberly, and Adriana are all in the 4th grade, my favorite class. in 2010, when they're in 8th grade i'm gonna make it a goal to come back and see what they're like. that class has the most personality. i'm anxious to see how they'll grow up.

here's some of the 4th grade boys. i guess that "peace out" thing is the cool thing to do now at that age. yes, and i'm straight. did you know? these boys are gonna be heart breakers, no doubt.

there's always those filipino cliques. always hanging out together no matter what grade. haha. you got Reggie, the annoying smart ass, Noah, who's winnie the pooh-like, and Nicolas, the genius.

ROAR!! can you tell that boy likes dinosaurs? there's Precious again. she's carrying one of my favorites, Kassandra. when was the last time you gave someone "bunny ears?" haha.

The blonde is Mrs. Hunt, my boss. THE best boss i've ever had. she calls me her adopted son because she' always wanted a son. eek, if she only knew. the girl in the middle is Mrs. Howder. she's the only one i came out to there and because of that we became really close. her husband got me my new job. the last but not least is Mrs. Morrow. she's a lot prettier in person. all the dirty dads would flirt with her. it was disgusting.
it's weird that the feeling of sadness hasn't really sunk in. brandi says that maybe it was just my time to go. and i think that that might be true. or maybe i've built my walls so strong that things coming to an end doesn't really damamge me anymore. all i know is that Day Care is the best job i have ever had. i really wish i didn't have to quit but i had to look for a job where i can go forward. financially, this job got me no where and i finally got really tired of staying in one place.
i now work at a recycling job, Re-Planet. i guess it's a bit of a down grade because it's not exactly my cup of tea BUT i do get paid more and i have more hours. it's such a straight man's job though. lifting trash bins full of plastic, aluminum and glass. wearing heavy duty gloves, a back brace, and at times a face shield. there is a fun part though. i get to smash glass with a big ol' sledge hammer thingy. it's such a great way to let your anger and frustration out. how often do you get to break glass for a reason?
and now for the sweet part of my weekend. the cabuhat cousins together in vegas!! wahoo! my cousin, Mariselle, graduated from UNLV and is the first cabuhat kid of my generation to graduate from college. we're all so proud of that girl. i've always looked up to her. she's such a strong, moral woman.

from left to right: Annabelle. i told her that she look like an import car model girly thing. doesn't she though?! haha. she's the craziest one. then next to her is Jessamine, who is the COMPLETE opposite of Annabelle. she just came from the philippines about 3 months ago. such a proper lady. the theree Mariselle, the graduation girl. then Chu-Chu, my cousin buddy since we were little kids. for those who've known for a long time and had my first screen name, she's the one that called me "ohna bona." so HA! it didn't mean "oh a boner" for all you dirty minds. the you got the papa-babuhat kids. my brother and sister.
it's a rare occasion for us to all be together but we made it out. even though we didn't make it to any clubs, we still got fucked up and had a lot of fun.

that's Mimi. she's not a cousin but is one of Mariselle's best friends. she is SO hilarious. i laugh at every word that comes out of her mouth. haha. she's so fun.

DRUNKEN FUN. the end. |
